Summertime: Smell the Sea, and Feel the Sky!

Not only is our island temperature climbing but so are some of our island events.

For those that enjoy Vancouver Island’s creative theatre spirit.  You are in for some good events:

August 8-18th The Cowichan Valley Shakespeare Festival is presenting “The Tempest” and “The Merry Wives of Windsor.”

Thursday, August 9th,  – Saturday, August 18th, 2018 Nanaimo. 

The 8th annual Nanaimo Fringe Festival will run August 9 – 18, 2018. 10 companies will be performing at Harbour City Theatre and Vancouver Island Conference Centre. Tickets for individual shows cost $17 ($12 if you already have your membership button) and are available in advance through Eventbrite

August 11th and 13th.  Look to the Sky, Waaay Up!!

The Perseid meteor shower which comes around every summer when the earth passes through the trail of dust left from the comet Swift-Tuttle.  This year, we are fortunated that there should be little to no moonlight, which allows darkness to view the glimmering trails streak across the sky.
